CIBC Just for Kids Clinic

ALERT

Example of rash symptoms associated with measles.Given the current resurgence of measles in Ontario and worldwide, our Paediatric clinics are on high alert for any suspected cases.

Please go directly to the Emergency Department if you answer YES to any of the following:

  • If you have been in contact with someone with measles or a measles-like rash
  • If you have travelled in the last 21 days and have fever/cough/cold/rash symptoms
  • If you have fever, cold/cough AND rash symptoms

Temporarily closed to walk-ins

The Just for Kids Clinic is experiencing a significant increase in volumes of pediatric patients. In order to minimize wait times and crowding at peak times throughout the day, we are moving temporarily to a “save my spot” only schedule for the clinic.

Monday to Friday

Daytime spots (10 am – 4:15 pm) and evening spots (4:30 pm – 7:30 pm) will open for booking daily at 7 am.

Weekends

Daytime spots (10 am – 1:30 pm) will open for booking each morning at 7 am.

Please aim to arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment to allow for registration.

In the event that you cannot get a “save my spot” appointment and your child is unwell, please take them to your family doctor, pediatrician, urgent care clinics, virtual ED or nearest Emergency Department.

*Please be aware that the JFK Clinic is staffed by on-call physicians who may be called to an emergency during their time in the clinic. We make every effort to see patients at the time of their appointment spot, but there may be delays due to emergencies elsewhere in the hospital.

Explainer: Where to take your child for care if they are unwell

The CIBC Just For Kids Clinic is a clinic for children, providing care for newborns and up to a child’s 18th birthday. Our clinic is staffed by pediatricians who provide services to patients whose doctors may be away or unavailable.  The clinical is located on:

As part of COVID-19 precautions we can only accommodate one visitor per patient, so please limit your visit to your child and one parent/guardian only (exception: 2 visitors for newborns up to 6 weeks)

We continue to see children who are ill with persistent fevers, persistent coughs or other medical conditions that require a physician assessment.

We do NOT see patients at the clinic for the following issues:

  • Suspected fractures
  • Head Injuries
  • Suturing
  • Immunizations
  • Mental health concerns
