Clinics Our team Procedures Resources Research Fellowship
The Cardiac Arrhythmia Service helps people who have heart rhythm problems. Our specialty clinics include:
- A clinic for patients with atrial fibrillation
- A clinic for patients with pacemakers or defibrillators (ICDs)
- An assessment clinic for people who may need an implantable defibrillator or a pacemaker
- A general arrhythmia clinic for all other heart rhythm disorders including genetic or inherited arrhythmias
Our service also provides advanced diagnostic testing and procedures at St. Michael’s including:
- Electrophysiologic study and catheter ablation for heart rhythm disorders including atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, WPW, WVT and VT
- Implantation of cardiac implantable electronic devices including a pacemaker or defibrillator
- Cardioversion for atrial fibrillation or flutter
- Drug challenge testing for Brugada syndrome
