A new Electronic Patient Record is coming November 30, 2024
On November 30, 2024, Unity Health will launch its new electronic patient record (EPR) system, transforming communication and information sharing between patients, families and their care teams. Please note, you can expect longer than usual wait times in the weeks following this launch as our teams learn this new system. We would strongly advise families to seek care from their primary care providers during this time.
Explainer: Where to take your child for care if they are unwell
We do NOT see patients at the clinic for the following issues:
- Suspected fractures
- Head Injuries
- Suturing
- Immunizations (including RSV)
- Mental Health concerns
*If your child is having trouble breathing, is weak and very tired, or has been vomiting many times a day and not drinking very much, your child should be taken to your nearest Emergency Department.
Save My Spot Booking
The Just for Kids Clinic is experiencing a significant increase in volumes of pediatric patients. In order to minimize wait times and crowding at peak times throughout the day, we require patients to book a “save my spot” booking. “Save my spot” is not your appointment time although every effort will be made to see patients in a timely manner.
Please be aware that the JFK Clinic is staffed by on-call physicians who may be called to an emergency during their time in the clinic resulting in delays.
Please aim to arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment to allow for registration.
Walk-ins
Walks-ins will be considered on a first-come, first-serve basis, based on the number of scheduled bookings, current wait times and number of physicians working. Please note: we may be required to close the clinic to walk-ins periodically throughout the day due to high patient volumes and/or long wait times.
Hours
Monday to Friday
10 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. *spots will open for booking daily at 7a.m.
Weekends
10 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. *spots will open for booking daily at 7a.m.
In the event that you cannot get a “save my spot” booking and your child is unwell, please take them to your family doctor, pediatrician, urgent care clinics, virtual ED or nearest Emergency Department.
