CIBC Just for Kids Clinic
Please note – we do not provide routine COVID-19 swabbing for children over the age of one year. If your child has a runny nose or nasal congestion only, or needs to be swabbed for daycare or school, you will NOT be tested at the Just for Kids Clinic. You will be asked to make an appointment at a COVID-19 Assessment Centre instead. We will continue to see children who have fevers, persistent coughs or other medical conditions that require a physician assessment. Visit our COVID-19 Assessment Centre page for more testing information for children.
The CIBC Just For Kids Clinic is a walk-in clinic for all children, from newborns until a child’s 18th birthday. The clinic includes a Newborn Clinic for babies born at St. Joseph’s where families are seen by a pediatrician and can be seen by a lactational consultant as well. Please note: the lactation consultant services are not available during the COVID-19 pandemic but newborn babies, no matter where they were born, continue to be welcome in the Just For Kids Clinic. Bring your baby to check on their weight, feeding, jaundice or any other concern you may have.
Our clinic is staffed by pediatricians who provide services to patients whose doctors may be away or unavailable. If patients require further clinical services, our clinic can access diagnostic imaging services, laboratory services and therapeutic services within St. Joseph’s. We would like to reassure you that we have increased our capacity to accommodate our patients – to promote minimal wait times along with continued physical distancing and infection control protocols. You can walk-in or “hold a spot” via our online booking portal.
