Bariatric surgery, in combination with a healthy diet and exercise, is a treatment option for improving obesity and obesity-related diseases. It involves making changes to the digestive system to assist in the management of weight and ultimately improve health and well-being.

Patients
You must receive a referral from your doctor to access this service.
Health-care Providers
You must register and submit your referral through the Ontario Bariatric Network’s online referral system.
While the Ontario Bariatric Network assigns each patient to one of its local centres based on geography, you will have the option of noting a preference for our Centre in the ‘additional comments’ section during the referral process.
Once we receive your referral, your patient’s candidacy for the program will be determined by an interdisciplinary team of bariatric experts.
