Providence Healthcare is pleased to announce that free Wi-Fi is now available across our campus, including the Cardinal Ambrozic Houses of Providence and all patient and resident rooms.

A few years ago, we implemented Wi-Fi access in several key areas of Providence; however, many staff, patients, and residents expressed a desire to have more robust coverage.

With this upgrade, there are a few things we’d like guests to note:

  • The network name is “Providence Guest”
  • There is no password required
  • If you have the old Providence Guest network saved with a previous password, you will need to “forget” this network
  • Providence does not support troubleshooting for patient/visitor applications

“We were pleased to be able to respond to feedback and provide this new value-added service,” says Susan McElhinney, manager of Projects and Applications and interim manager of IT Operations. “This upgrade helps Providence fulfill its promise of a person-centred experience.”
