Dr. Eric Tseng completed his medical school, core internal medicine, and adult hematology residency training at the University of Toronto. He was Chief Medical Resident at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, and also completed a Thromboembolism Fellowship at McMaster University between 2016-2018.
His primary clinical interests are in thrombosis medicine. In his clinic he sees a variety of arterial and venous thrombotic disorders, including patients with cancer associated thrombosis, acquired and inherited thrombophilia. He is the co-director of the St. Michael’s Hospital Thrombosis Clinic and involved in quality improvement initiatives related to thrombosis at his hospital.
His academic interest is in medical education. He was previously Core Internal Medicine Site Program Director at St. Michael’s Hospital and is now Program Director for the Adult Hematology residency training program. He is also actively involved in knowledge translation activities and continuing education through the American Society of Hematology and Thrombosis Canada.
