Neuromuscular Medicine Clinic
The Neuromuscular Clinic at St. Michael’s Hospital provides comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and management of disorders affecting the peripheral nervous system, including diseases of the nerves, neuromuscular junction and muscle.
Our team delivers individualized care plans that support patients with a wide range of conditions; from common problems like carpal tunnel syndrome and sciatica, to complex disorders such as inflammatory and inherited nerve and muscle diseases and myasthenia gravis. Patients will have electrophysiological testing as part of their visit. Testing offered in our laboratory includes routine nerve conduction studies, needle electromyography, repetitive nerve stimulation and single fibre EMG.
Please note that we do not evaluate disorders of the central nervous system (e.g. headache, epilepsy, tremor, Parkinsonism, cognitive complaints, MS) and we do not practice pain management.
