2026 Award of Merit presented by the CSA Group

Stasia Bogdan, Director of Capital Planning at Unity Health, was a recipient of the 2026 Award of Merit from the CSA Group, recognizing outstanding contributions and leadership in the development and advancement of voluntary standards.

Dr. Sean Cleary Award for Excellence in Clinical Teaching

Dr. Brittany Greene, hepatobiliary surgeon at St. Joseph’s Health Centre, received the Dr. Sean Cleary Award for Excellence in Clinical Teaching, recognizing her outstanding clinical teaching of junior residents in the Division of General Surgery at University of Toronto.

Catalyst Grant presented by Canadian Institute of Health Research

Dr. Archna Gupta, family physician at St. Michael’s Hospital, was awarded the Canadian Institute of Health Research (CIHR) Catalyst Grant to support her research in improving care for people experiencing early pregnancy loss.

2026 Digital Health Canada Future Leader Award presented by Digital Health Canada

Brian Lo, Manager of AI Operations and Enablement at Unity Health, was awarded the 2026 Digital Health Canada Future Leader Award, which recognizes outstanding and ongoing contributions to advance Digital Health and Virtual Health in Canada.

Fellowship at the Academy of Medical Sciences

Veronique Miron, scientist at Unity Health, was elected as a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences (AMS) in the UK. The AMS recognizes researchers for remarkable contributions to advancing medical sciences and groundbreaking research discoveries.

Appointment in Bellamy Manucha Professorship in Healthy Aging

Dr. Eric Wong, geriatrician at St. Michael’s Hospital, was appointed to the Bellamy Manucha Professorship in Healthy Aging, a joint academic position at Unity Health and University of Toronto, effective June 1, 2026.

Special Achievement Award presented by Pediatricians Alliance of Ontario

Dr. Elizabeth Young, developmental pediatrician at St. Michael’s Hospital, received the Special Achievement Award from the Pediatricians Alliance of Ontario (PAO). This recognition is awarded to individuals who have made exceptional contributions to pediatrics and a meaningful impact on child health in Ontario.
