In 2025/26 we funded 4 projects for a total of $32,000.
These are the projects:
Cultivating joy in work by providing a safe and secure work environment:
Implemented secure lockers for St. Joseph’s Food Services team to ensure the staff feel safe and supported in their work environment every day
Self-compassion to increase wellbeing in multiple sclerosis staff:
Provided a six-week series of sessions led by a qualified instructor, where participants were guided in developing self-kindness, mindfulness and a sense of common humanity – key pillars that support resilience and emotional health in the workplace.
Murals as Medicine: Bringing joy and colour to windowless spaces:
To help create a warm and welcoming environment in the X-ray and medical imaging rooms at St. Michael’s, two murals were chosen by staff and created by a local artists to transform the space.
Healing Harmonies: Bringing joy through live music on the Stroke & Neurology Unit:
In partnership with the Infection Prevention and Control team, the Stroke and Neurology unit celebrated a patient’s birthday with a violin performance. The event inspired patients and staff, leading to support for live music performances by local musicians, fostering connection, comfort, and joy.
