Dr. Pace-Asciak is a member of the Division of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery (OHNS) and has been faculty (Assistant Professor) at St. Joseph’s Health Centre and Mount Sinai Hospital since 2021.
Before attending medical school in Ottawa, she completed her master’s of Applied Science in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Toronto. Following medical school she completed her Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery residency at the University of British Columbia becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (Canada) 2014. Prior to returning to her roots in Toronto where she grew up, she was an Assistant Professor at The University of British Columbia for six years.
She has published numerous articles and book chapters with Johns Hopkins University on minimally invasive and innovative approaches to endocrine diseases of the head and neck and is a guest editor with Frontiers in Endocrinology. Her areas of research include radiofrequency ablation of benign and malignant nodules, nasal reconstruction, rhinology, and education. Currently, she has a general practice (adult and pediatric patients) with a particular interest in functional nasal reconstruction, facial plastic surgery, rhinology and endocrine head and neck surgery.
In education, she is involved in teaching at both the undergraduate and post-graduate level and is the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Medical Education.
