Biography

Dr. Ramji is the newest member of the Plastic Surgery team at St. Joseph’s Health Centre. She joins with four years of experience from the Peter Lougheed Centre, University of Calgary, where she was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery and the site lead for resident training in the Division of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery.

Dr. Ramji completed her medical degree at the University of Alberta and her plastic surgery residency at McMaster University. She completed additional fellowship training in hand, wrist, and peripheral nerve surgery to deepen her expertise.

Her dedication extends beyond clinical practice, with research focused on upper extremity replantation, breast reconstruction, peripheral nerve surgery, and the use of point-of-care ultrasound in plastic surgery. She has been invited to share her work at national and international conferences.

At St. Joseph’s, Dr. Ramji’s practice includes a broad range of “General” Plastic Surgery, with a focus on alloplastic and autogenous breast reconstruction, including microvascular techniques. She also brings specialized experience in hand and wrist surgery. Dr. Ramji is pleased to return to Ontario and contribute to the team at St. Joseph’s Health Centre.
