Biography

Dr. Andrew Yan received his medical degree and his postgraduate training in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at the University of Toronto.  As the recipient of a Canadian Institute of Health Research Fellowship Award, he completed a 2-year clinical research fellowship in cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA.  He was the recipient of the New Investigator Award from the Heart and Stroke Foundation, and his work has been supported by the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.

Dr. Andrew Yan is a member of the Division of Cardiology at St. Michael’s Hospital and is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto.  He is cross-appointed to the Department of Medical Imaging at the University of Toronto. He is also a Scientist at the Keenan Research Centre at the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute.
