Biography

Dr. Gantous is the Chief of the Division of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery and has been on staff at St. Joseph’s Health Centre since 1994. He is an Associate Professor and Head of the Division of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Toronto. His ability to educate and guide his students, residents and fellows has earned him “best teacher award” nominations year after year.

His practice is focused on facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. He lectures extensively around the world on the subject and is internationally recognized for his contributions in reconstructive and cosmetic rhinoplasty and otoplasty. He is Mission Director, Face The Future Canada – Rwanda Mission.

Dr. Gantous is board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the American Board of Otolaryngology. He is currently on the executive board of the Canadian Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and he is Vice-President of the International Board of Facial Plastic Surgery Societies. He served on the executive board of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for five years.
