Emergency Codes for Patients and Visitors
An emergency code is a notification of an event that requires immediate action.
If you hear an emergency code announced, follow any instructions provided to you by staff and listen to overhead announcements carefully. Activation and response procedures for each code are in place for staff to follow. If possible, leave or avoid the area where the emergency is happening.
If you identify any safety concerns while at our sites, please notify staff for further investigation and follow up. For urgent life threatening or personal safety issues only, call the emergency line of 5555 from any hospital phone. State the nature of your emergency and provide your location so that help can be dispatched to you quickly.
