Patients
If interested in purchasing hearing aids at St. Michael’s, a hearing aid evaluation appointment ($95) is required. During this appointment, the audiologist determines the most appropriate type and level of technology and provides you with a hearing aid prescription. If interested in filling your prescription, the hearing aids can be ordered through our department and fit accordingly to your hearing loss.
The government does subsidize hearing aids through the Assistive Devices Program, or ADP. Ontario residents qualify for the ADP grant every five years.
