Amit Anand

Dr. Amit Anand is a graduate of the Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Training Program at the University of Toronto. Following completion of residency, Dr. Anand completed a fellowship in complex trauma at St. Michael’s and Sunnybrook Hospital. He then subsequently completed a fellowship in complex hip and knee arthroplasty (hip and knee replacement) at Mount Sinai Hospital. As a result, Dr. Anand has a proficiency in the entire spectrum of lower limb reconstruction care, including primary, revision, and robotic hip and knee replacement.

In 2023, Dr. Anand joint the faculty at St. Joseph’s Health Centre. His clinical practice consists primarily of primary hip replacement through the direct anterior approach, primary total and partial knee replacement surgery, revision hip and knee surgery, and general fracture care.

Dr. Anand also completed a Master’s in Health Science in Health Administration at the University of Toronto’s Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation (IHPME), Dana Lana School of Public Health. He utilizes his acquired understanding of health systems to foster interdepartmental collaboration to improve post operative care. He currently sits on the Joint Mobility Quality Improvement Council at Unity Health where he works to develop and improve models of Early Recovery after Surgery and Outpatient Joint Replacement.
